Asus Ez Flash 2

Ez Flash is a quick BIOS access to permit BIOS updates and accesses by simple pressing ALT + F2 right after POST (Power On-Self-Test). It aims to BIOS from DOS, instead of updating them in general term which takes too much time and power. ASUS has built ASUS Ez Flash to ease the requirement to update BIOS from DOS. And here is the instruction of applying ASUS Ez Flash 2 in your ASUS PCs.

First, you have to download the latest BIOS file name from the ASUS website to a floppy disk. After the first step completed, you are asked to reboot your computer before starting to load the ASUS Ez Flash 2. After you have your computer rebooted, you need to press [ALT] + [F2] right after POST to display the following screen in Figure 1 to use ASUS Ez Flash 2.

Then, run your ASUS Ez Flash 2, it refers to Figure 2.

After all, insert the disk containing BIOS file into floopy disk. You will get a warning, saying ‘Warning! Device not ready’, if you proceed to the next step without floopy disk containing BIOS file. To the step 6, enter the BIOS file name in the place that showed then press Enter and ASUS will automatically proceed it. When it found the BIOS file, the next different screen will show you next step. As you can see it in Figure 3.

If everything is completely done, the next notification will appear. You can choose [Y] for yes, to continue updating, [N] for no or exit ASUS Ez Flash 2. If you choose [Y], it means the update will automatically progress and finish the process of ASUS Ez Flash 2. If the update is finished, press button to reboot again, press the key of reboot and your system will be in a new BIOS.

If you need updated BIOS system in your computer, you must try this option. It helps you a lot when you do not have much time to update by the servicer, you can easily update you BIOS by your own! Easy stuff!
